Meditated at 2310 approx. last night. Topic: On my stance as an atheist.
What is an atheist? Broadly defined, I am a person who do not believe in a god. But there are many other definitions of it. I do not believe in a god, but I do not know if there is a god, therefore I might have a possibility that I am wrong. Therefore, I explicitly state that I believe that there is no god, but I do not know if there is a god, therefore my stance is "explicit weak atheist". God in my definition is an omnipresent, omniscient being who claims the creation of the universe to be his works.
Then, on my stance of the belief in deities. Deities in my definition are beings who are spiritually higher than human beings. I do not believe in deities, and I know that there are no deities, because I find that deities are only such as they are respected and venerated by a number of people.
Then, on my stance of afterlife. I believe in an afterlife, but I cannot assert my position that there definitely is an afterlife, because I cannot prove. Only because I cannot disprove even a little the possibility of an afterlife I do believe in an afterlife. For gods and deities I have reasons to thwart and challenge the motion of an existence of a god or deity, but I do not have for the existence of an afterlife.
Such was my musings on a Sunday night.
